6th of December, Student Union Building (Nymble), Nya Matsalen
Do you want to join a new and exciting startup business? It’s time for students to take more risks and believe in creating something new that the world has never seen before. Startup Pitch Night will present 24 startups that pitch on stage, in English, to a group of students and potential team members. Focus will then be put on networking and creating great teams. You will by the end of the evening hopefully have found a startup that’s cool and has you hooked!
This event will focus on startups involved in the following three areas:
IT/Services: Startups can be anything from a mobile app startup to having other software/services. They are in search for people with possibly programming skills or other special IT competences.
Design: Startups need help with product design; e.g. construction, manufacturing, graphics, industrial design, mechanical etc.
Sustainability: Startups are working in the field of sustainability and might develop products/services that benefits the environment.
Have this in mind when filling in the form: You have to choose one of the three areas above. The area you choose must first be the area you have competence in. If this does not apply, then choose the area you’re interested in.
Programme
The start-ups that have been selected will have 90 second on stage to pitch their ideas and what they are looking for to an audience of two-hundred selected students, researchers and graduates. The selected students will have competences in the three areas Design, IT/Services and Sustainability. Three inspirational speakers will during the evening talk about their struggles and how they overcame them. After the pitches, it’s time for intensive mingle and networking. We will during the entire evening offer free food and drinks along with a nice mingle in the pub at the end with all the participating sponsors and partners. See below for schedule.
Our goal is simple: It’s time for us to take more risks and possibly be part of a company that may grow to be the new Google. Jump headlong into the entrepreneurial culture of KTH and meet some passionate people we can say we’re friends with (to satisfy our mothers).
Long-term: get exposure and help for some cool new idea that can make tons of money by solving a world problem (or by just being cool and new).
Make it or break it – Go big or go home!
